Thick black ABS laminate over 1/4" or 1/2" ply

1" foam charcoal 2.2 lb density (except pedalboards & racks as listed)

Reverseable lids on lift-lid designs

Single angle tempered aluminum edge (on 1/4" cases) with rivets every 3" for better construction integrity

DOUBLE angle aluminum edge (on 1/2" cases) for maximum strength and durability

ATA designs feature:

Recessed twist-latches rated at 600 lbs strength

Recessed handles 90-degree spring-loaded with a thick 3/4" rubber grip

Ball corners thick steel with 2 rivets each leg

ATA airline-approved construction designed to withstand minimum 100 airline trips

Choice of casters: 3" single-ball bearing or 4" double-ball bearing touring casters with full size bottom caster support wood 5/8" thick - NOT left & right plywood strips

Surface designs feature:

Surface-mounted drawbolts

Surface-mount spring-loaded handles with thick rubber grip

Steel flat corners

Same constuction as ATA road cases but with lighter weight hardware

THINGS YOU DON'T SEE:

All handles, latches, and large ball corners are attached with steel rivets that grip internal steel washers - not just the inside plywood - for maximum holding power. Recessed handles have all 10 rivets attached with steel backup washers - not just the 4 corner rivets!

Steel corners have ALL of the rivets attached with steel backup washers - BEWARE of some other case companies that simply "pop" the rivets with NO back up washers!
